The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) will be hosting the 13th Annual Air Quality Governance Lekgotla from 1 – 3 October 2018 at Mitta Seperepere Convention Centre in Kimberly, Northern Cape.
The Air Quality Governance Lekgotla is an event for intergovernmental coordination and cooperation in respect to the air quality management in the country. The Lekgotla provides a platform where government officials from national, provincial and local departments gather to discuss the implementation of the National Environmental Management: Air Quality Act, 2004 (Act No. 39 of 2004) (AQA).
In addition, the Air Quality Lekgotla provides an opportunity for government officials to share experiences, best practices and to agree on possible solutions/ mechanisms in addressing common governance challenges in air quality management field and to planned ahead.
The DEA invites all government officials in national, provincial and local government departments working in air quality management to participate in this important event. Air Quality Officials who would like to present at the Lekgotla should forward their presentation information to Ms Agnes Makau at firstname.lastname@example.org before 31 July 2018.
JOINT DEA AND NACA AIR QUALITY MULTI-STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP
The Department of Environmental Affairs (DEA) and the National Association for Clean Air (NACA) invite all stakeholders with an interest in air quality management in South Africa to a Multi-Stakeholder Workshop.
The topic of the workshop will be "Framework to support emission monitoring and reporting in the South African Atmospheric Emission Licensing and Inventory Portal" (SAAELIP).
The Workshop will be held on Tuesday, 30 October 2018 at the Riverside Sun Hotel and Conference Centre in Vanderbijlpark, from 08:00 to 13:00 (followed by lunch)
